Tires came as an extra set with my dad's truck. They are in connecticut. So I need to get a lift before I go back to get them. Looking at 5100s from headstrong. Just trying to only keep the truck level, add about an inch to the front. Suggestions?

Oh, and I got to do some wheeling out off river rd on Sat morning. Strep trails, some mud, slick rock, and sand all in one. 4lo crawled up the river bank like a champ!

probably going to need more than an inch. i'm not the expert here but i'd say the 275's are probably going to need a little more. others who kow more than i will hopefully chime in but thinking bilsteins set at 0 and maybe ome 885 coils for the front and an add-a-leaf of some sort for the rear with bilstein shocks you'll probably end up with 2.5 in the fornt and 1.5-2 in the rear which will also help level the truck out

Chief. A 275/70/17 is only about 1/2" wider than a 265. It's also only about 1/2" taller than a 265/75/16 - which fit with no lift. You might be able to get away with a 1.5" lift. You might have to remove the mudflaps - they're too long anyway. If you're using stock rims they might not rub the control arm like 285s would.

I'd be tempted to use the 1.5" setting on the 5100s. If it rubs something you can cut plastic, bend the pinch welds - if you dare. That's how i fit 285s on the tundra.

1.5" would level the truck with nothing in the bed. You'll squat with weight though. You can always add an AAL and raise the front to 2"

Guess it's my turn for intro..

I am still pretty new to the whole modding community. Bought my truck in 2014 after graduating from VCU in Computer Engineering and landing my first job in Dahlgren. Pics before mods began..

After buying my truck, I wanted to start to learn more about it. I have always been interested in vehicles and someday I want to restore/build my own, but there is still A LOT I need to learn. So a couple months after getting the truck I started researching what I can do to add more to it. And that's how I came about this site and after seeing all the things that can be done to a Tacoma, I got hooked.. My first mods began.

And to make things short, this is how the truck now sits.

Hell yeah man, would love to stop by and talk tacos!

Yeah you're definitely gone before I get to work around 7. I feel like I have seen your truck in the Martin's lot before, next time I'll flag you down.

I'm working over at Swift, been there for about 2 years. Really looking for a good house or apartment to rent up there in the pep
