    @buyobuyo

    Are these rocket motors a static (tied down) test, or a strapped to something to see where she goes performance wise?

    A thing or two...
    Strapped down. We measure thrust, pressure, strain, acceleration (vibration), temperature.

    Hey all, taking a trip to Chicago over the weekend by way of Cincy on the way out and Columbus on the way back...if anyone needs anything expressed.

    Still waiting for the final word on funding for my role back on the good side of the Potomac, just a matter of when...can't wait to change to a 40 minute commute with only 5 minutes of driving to the train lot. Also gonna switch to 9 hr days with every other Friday off, seeing as I get about 1.5 of my life back.

    Anywho this will be my trucks third trip to IL but the first one I get to take it on and a weekend away with the wifey. Hope the trucks as comfortable as I remember....and hope she's holding up well, just got back from Springfield IL today with her second load of stuff from a family members estate.

    Well I'm on the civilian side, just working through what my role is going to be to justify my funding line. But they need me bad and old project is getting moved to another warfare center....so perfect timing. Gonna be playing with some fun stuff in my new role, and don't have to lose my awesome boss so win-win. Also no less money for me to go do the same job closer to home...just hit my gov tenure at the end of Aug and finally coming back to Quantico after 3 years of jumping across the river, paying tolls, driving 114 miles a day. This new role is going to a much welcome reprieve!

    Really helps that I was able to negotiate my salary when I started the role, to account for the commute expenses and now they're going away and I get to maintain salary growth from the past 3 years.
