I still find my self cussing a few dumb asses. Kinda like the moron washing his car at the gas pump with the window squeegee thingy, right now.

Hey all, I'm pretty sure I've posted up in this thread at one time or another years ago. I am a retired jarhead, still working up north and sold my homes at Lake Anna (Louisa side) and Fairfax to be at my forever home in Stafford. Best decision I've ever made I think.
Lost my FJ recently to a wreck, so now I get to focus on modding my taco. No changes other than basic interior stuff. I have an uptop truss coming in the next week and I've known Tacomaholic since before he got all crazy in this stuff. lol. He's a really nice guy.
In these strange times, I'm still happy to help out where I can. I'm not a mechanic, but little things like the meso mods and stuff like that I'm good with.
Also have a fishing kayak, so if you guys/gals go out....I'm with ya!

Still have a list of mods to do on taco thats just sitting there. 3rd brake (meso), roof rack (victory), bed rack (uptop...s/b in next week), but got all the other things done like puddle pod, turn signals, tail lights, red buttons (start &4x4), bed lock, panel switches, lights, etc.
If anyone wants help with that kind of stuff let me know. But dont ask me to put 3m clear protection on...lol. I suck at it looking at my attempt.

A bunch of us often get together at Buffalo Wild Wings in Central Park (Fredericksburg). Once this virus thing blows over we'll do it again.

Today I noticed the Taco’s battery has acid leaking around/on the negative terminal, and around the center tie-down thing. There is also a sticker on the battery “12/12”, which I’m assuming is when the battery was either purchased or made. It’s the same battery from when I purchased the truck, 4 years ago. Does this mean it’s time to replace? It still starts strong, runs my amp and other lights I added (very seldom I ever use them), but also don’t want to get stranded.

Been a while since I've posted but wanted to get back on here to thank @Choco_Taco for an extra set of rear leafs to mess around with.
At the beginning of spring break (12-17 March) the wife and I got to get away with the in laws to take a trip to Chattanooga and mess around in the forge at RMJ Tactical (maker of the SOCOM Eagle Talon). Will be building a forge in the near future to mess around with making shit. Then headed to Hampstead NC to the sister's new house to pickup the kiddos and then the world shut down.

But we still got to practice social distancing and test out the SUV tent weekend before last down at our family property and looks like it's ready for camping season. Also got to do a little shooting at the range...72 acres I feel like we could social distance enough out there.

Need to get a front roof rack to carry the Canoe around, looking at Hooke Road for the time being.

We've been putting a hurting on the honey do list since we've been stuck at home and finally getting around to some projects we have to finish. Did Backsplash and shelves in the kitchen, still gotta finish some grout and some brackets to secure the shelves on the supports (routed grooves so I need to brace them from cantilevering). Also knocked out a little gardening.

Always open to an open air beer session if anyone has enough space to host locally.

    Welcome back @virginiamarine

I think that sums up my recap since the last time I checked in.

That’s what I was thinking, might be making a run to Costco today for a battery. I’ve read good things about their performance for the price, and close enough I can take back if I have any issue.
