There is a place across the river in Stafford called Iron Pig Offroad. They specialize in the old school Land Cruiser FJs, but they do other Toyota work. They put the lift on my 1-Gen Tundra back when I had it.

I know you are just wanting coils assembled, but they do extremely shotty work. Plus, some of us have the tooling you need and won't rape you for the service.

Let me know if you end up needing my assistance. Like I mentioned earlier, my garage is fairly well supplied and has been the sight of a fair amount of work for these trucks. Anything from simple lift kits to converting a truck to full LT and from a CMC to full custom armor fabbing. So most any tooling you might need to work on your truck is probably sitting over here... time is about the hardest thing to find now a days though. Spring and summer keep me rather busy.

Yeah let’s do it. I was thinking of getting these spring compressors instead of going to a shop. What’s your thought? I like these cause they have locking jaws

 

Well if anyone wants to guide me through the installation of front 6112’s, UCA’s, rear leaf springs and shocks I’d be forever greatfull. Does the shop have a lift?

 

I need your help…or guidance. I am teaching myself how to do all this but just need someone with more experience…

 

Also wanted to throw out an idea I have. I’m a member of the Fredericksburg Elks lodge and we have about 29 acres of fenced in land. One thing I was thinking of was starting a monthly meet-n-greet for our area. Was also looking in doing a big truck show event to raise $ for charity’s or local families in need. Would love to meet up with a few members and see if anyone would like to share ideas and concepts.

 

This one does not, just a 2 car garage. When I finally decide to move there will be a full shop build with a lift... but that may be a couple years from now.

Just let me know. Like I mentioned previously, this is getting in to my "busy" time of year with gardening and other outdoor activities/responsibilities.

Anyone have any experience with por-15?
I pulled my hitch off when I replaced my rear bumper since it was looking pretty gnarly, rust wise. I thought I was going to have to replace it but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. The worst part was the area around where the safety chains hook up to. I bought some rustoleum rust converter but I’m wondering if por-15 would be a better path to go.

 

I've used it with good success. Knock all the loose rust off and coat it. Let it set completely. Don't touch it, it won't come off your hands. It's not UV resistant so when it's still just a little tacky you can spray some paint on it.
