Couple of questions: My truck bed sits 1 inch more to the drivers side vs the passenger side.9
    1. Will Toyota dealerships align your truck beds if they are 1 inch off on sides?
    2. Is there a ditty on how to do this yourself and all the bolts one needs to loosen?

Welcome to the club. It seems to be a common problem. Mine is off as well. I didn't want the shop screwing with it so I just left it as is. Somewhere on this forum there are a few,I believe, that have done it themselves.

I too have the same problem and took it to Toyota during my 10k service. They told me they couldn’t do anything about it because it’s still within their tolerance. I just left it as is for now since it’s really not a big deal.
I read somewhere that it’s only 6 bolts that hold it down to the frame and is quite easy to adjust.

Loosen the 6 bolts you see the heads of in the bed.

Adjust the bed to your visual satisfaction or with a tape measure.

    Tighten bolts.

Having a friend help might make it quicker.

Even if it is, its a shame they are too lazy to spend a few minutes to make a customer happy.

The only time they'd ever see me again would be for recalls. Assuming there wasn't another dealer in easy distance.

My bed is so misaligned that it is causing damage from the tailgate rubbing on the bed. My local dealership won't do anything about it because I have modified the truck.

I brought it up to the dealership, they wanted the truck for a whole day. I wouldn't do that, so I did it myself in less than an hour. You will need a breaker bar for the torx bit, at least I did. Pretty straight forward process.

Not sure how that works, since the gate mounting is part of the bed frame. And there's not *that* much slop in the mounting points to get the bed racked against itself.

    Regardless, just adjust it yourself.

It's not hard if you just use a bit of care.

I will have to take a picture... It's strange. I could be wrong, but to me it looks like the tailgate is rubbing on the back end of the bed. Isn't it a strangely massive torx bit that's required?

Its not a rare size. T55 (I think it was) not 100 percent positive, but Harbor Freight had exactly what I needed.

My 2016 tailgate rubbed the edge of the bed on the left side.

Dealership fixed mine. They have to realign the bumper with it as well

Yup, it’s a T55. Easy fix but bring a breaker bar to the party as the bolts are in tight.
