So I keep seeing some mention bed and cab alignment- does that mean some are having the cab itself shifted as well as the bed? Or is it meaning the bed is being aligned to the cab

Some have had both misaligned. I thought I had that problem too, however after measuring, I am goo on the cab, but the bed is off.

Thanks for the reply. Alright so what points are you measuring for the cab alignment itself? Is it from frame to a certain spot on the body the rocker or a pinch weld

All I am doing with the cab is measuring the distance of the tire wall to the fender.
My self after measuring the cab I found out that I don't have any misalignment of the cab, just the bed.

Well, you were wrong 3 years ago.

Have you grown as a person or are you still totally wrong?

Since my opinion of you hasnt improved, I'd say I'm still perfect.

You sold your truck years ago yet you cant let it go and move on.

I have genuine pity for you.

    Not really....

My 2018 is this bad as well with the large gap on the drivers side. It appears centered and equal on both sides in that respect but the front to back gap is very noticeably larger on the drivers side

In all trucks the bed/shell flex when driving. That is why overhanging campers leave such a huge gap between the cab roof and the bottom of the over hang.

I have the same exact thing on my 08 v6 4x4 trd long bed
They put a new frame on it I tried moving bed over and the bolts just made moved only enough but I still have at least an inch or more of the tire sticking out it's looks odd it drives straight I thought frame was off I think it's the bed on this new frame if the holes were bigger I could gain more movement but I can't unless I drill out the metal inserts I don't want to trouble but regardless I thought I was given a rough deal but I can live with it the truck is great condition for it's age I por 15 the frame and it's been good .. something I have to accept I guess since I can't move it over anymore

Bumping an old thread. My 3 day old DCLB OR has the bed alignment issue. I thought it was as simple as 6 bolts, but I looked underneath, and there is a plastic "alignment" pin on drivers side near front bolt that looks like it will need to shear off to move bed.

There is also hanger for fuel neck and vent tube that attach to frame that looks like they should be loosened to allow new bed position since fuel tank will not move.

Anyone take these two things into account before shifting bed?

Lastly I pulled two front bed bolts just to see how much adjustment they could have, and it appears I can make the 1/4" movement I need to get 1/2" total change (+1/4 to drivers, -1/4" from passenger).

Same with my 21. I got it home and noticed during my walkaround. Took pics and emailed the dealer. I agreed to let it get inspected by their Svc dept at my 5k service . It goes in next week for evaluation

At least on my long box, there is more to the alignment than just 6 bolts. There were 2 conical plastic pins that were preventing me from getting the alignment I wanted. One near the driver side front bolt, and another near the driver side rear bolt. The rear one you can remove easily, the front one is blind, and I had to push it up into the bed pocket.

I also loosened up the fuel neck assembly clamp while getting the bed as good as possible, then tightened it after I was happy.

That's what I did. The box on my 2016 was misaligned from the factory. I straightened the box out only to discover that the rear bumper was misaligned. It seems like the bumper was square with the box and after I straightened the box, the gaps between the bumper and box on the driver side vs the passenger side were different, though I'm probably the only one that would have noticed.

Yes, it appears they align the bumper with the bed. Therefore the whole process is sort of a compromise until it appears the best it can be from all angles.
