Bed bar/ladder rack design

    So I found this online a few days ago, thought it was super cool design. Cant find any info other than this video online though. Not sure how strong it is when all the way up, but I would love something like this to put under my soft topper.

    Just think, fold down the topper, fold up the ladder rack, put kayaks on rack.

    Looks pretty slick, but don't see how it would work under a soft topper.

    When the topper is up, the bars are down. When the top is down, the bars can go up.

    Would probably need to be changed around on the mounting to make it a bit narrower to fit inside the bed rails instead of on top of them.

    I guess I can see it. Doesn't look like there is a lot of room on the outside of the rear rack mount to fit the rail, and I'd think you'd have to have the front rail moved towards the rear a good bit to not interfere with folding the topper. I do like the concept quite a bit.

    Yeah, I think if the idea was played with more this could be a pretty sweet rack. I wish the original designer did more than just make this single video.
