I have the 2006 manual but it is nowhere in there, for some reason. I've been reading it for a couple hours to no avail.

Are you looking to find the length, thread pitch, head size? If this cant be found by tomarrow, I'll just pull one from the bed of my truck and give you the dimensions.

Yes, exactly. I stripped the end of one of the bolts today and it's screwing up both the bolt threads and the frame threads. I have a tap and die set but the largest it goes up to is 1/2" and it's definitely not that. I appreciate any help you can give me.

Wow. At this point, can I suggest grinding off the rest of the bolt and frame threads and just reinstalling a new bolt/nut?

I think I explained that wrong. I stripped the threads on the bolt itself. The bolt is out but I can't get it back in. I pulled another bolt and tried to install it where the messed up bolt was and that wouldn't go in without forcing it so I backed it out and put it back where it came from.

Can you re tap the threads in the frame?

I'm sure I can but I'm not sure on what size or thread pitch. I'd have to get a bigger tap, too, which I can do tomorrow.

OK, I got it. I test fitted one of the other 5 bed bolts in the problem one and it went in fine. So, I'll just grab a bolt from Toyota and I should be good to go.

    My 2010 Taco has m12x 1.25 x 3-3/4" long.
The factory D-Rings have a 7/16"-20 shoulder bolt.

Try to clean up the threads with a 12m die nut?
Or if you are really good, try to clean up the threads up with a smalll 3 corner file.:)

:gossip: you just woke up a 4 year old thread

However, I can't imagine the bed bolts changing anytime from '05-'15, especially since the beds are all the same. Based on that, I think post 13 is what you are looking for.......

Yes I know. Lol! Figured I'd try to contribute instead of starting new thread.

    I'll take it. Thanks!

Curious if I can revive this thread. I have an ‘06 Tacoma
The shoulder is about 4.7” long, but the threaded portion seems to be able 3.75” (measuring a current bed bolt that I took out)

I am trying to find a longer bolt, as I put 0.5” of wood down and am looking to mount it with the existing holes.

I may drill out some of the wood to get the depth needed, but from looking at it, it looks like I would have to drill completely through the wood, which defeats the purpose of me mounting the wood to the bed.

Any ideas or even part numbers to mount the wood to the bed? I don’t want to glue it and I don’t want to add more holes to the bed.
