    Assembly lines use a common practice. Torque controlled tools.

    Shoot, even in the power tool industry, torque controlled assembly tools are very common on every assembly line.

    I would suspect Toyota uses similar torque controlled tools during their assembly.

    The line workers are not using muscle to torque fasteners. Torque controlled tools are available in electric, pneumatic and hydraulic versions.
