The goal of this build is really to just build a basic level platform with function, and give me a ground level of how to improve it. I have been thinking about what I want out of a bed platform/draw system for a while, but havent gotten the ball rolling yet. So my goal is to document the process and open things up to the wonderful world of TW for how to improve it.

    Goals:

Organizing system that allows me to keep things hidden in the bed
Easy access to putting my bike in
Transformability to accommodate larger things I need to put in my bed

    Plans:

    - Have a 10" cubby (possibly divided in half) in the anterior portion of the bed, which ideally would run the width of the bed, but that is my biggest hurdle of engineering (Im a nurse, not a woodworking experienced mathematician).
    - Two major sections which I will eventually put sliding draws in.
    - 1 removable side so that I can put by bike in vertically with a fork in the posterior portion
    - Outdoor carpeting for basic comfort for the dog
    - Water and food bowl holders for Elliot when I keep her in the bed for extended periods of time
    - Access holes cut for the side compartments and back cubbies

Im having a difficult time getting the exact measurement of the hight of my bed ledge. (Im sure someone on TW has it listed, and I didnt look). So my vertical "struts" are all cut to roughly 9 3/8 inches, but Im fairly certain that by head board on the Anterior boarder is a smidge too tall, even tho it measures 9.5"

    Bottom edge 42"
