Can anyone give an objective comparison between both bed cages? Feel free to throw any other brands into the mix. Both cages have a similar geometry with the exception that the dirt king has the addition of a horizontal v brace. Is this brace just a cary over from other dirt king cages or is there actually enough flex to warrant this?

DMZ has a cage for short bed and at least one truck with a long bed I've seen.

they don't have this listed on their web site. Searching through google images, there appear to be lots of variations but they generally seem to be more similar to the Camburg design in that they don't have a horizontal v-brace.

Off topic, I’m VERY surprised at the lack of marketing in general in the off-road community. There’s TONS of cool parts that “we” (consumers) would never know about unless “you’re in the industry”. SO many good companies make damn good bolt on components but don’t let “us” know. Or they don’t have any info on their sites or pages. Sucks...

I can only guess it's because content management takes a lot of time and costs a lot of money to hire someone else to do it.

@snowsk8air2 has a short bed version and @Tacomoto23 had a long bed version if you scope their posts to see pics. DMZ does a lot of custom fab but their short bed cage has a jig and I’m not 100% about the long bed version, but I’ve seen it on @Tacomoto23 ‘s truck - top quality stuff for sure.

Yeah I have their bolt in cage. Awesome quality. And nope Diz doesn’t advertise it on their site, but they’ve made posts about it on their Instagram. Best thing with them is to just call and talk to them. Should have some pics in my build thread of their cage

A buddy of mine here in Fresno, CA just started up a business making Prerunner style front and rear bumpers, as well as custom bed cages. He's currently building my front and rears. Whenever I decide how I want to set up my rear suspension he'll most likely build my bed cage for me.

Yeah he likes to use 2” DOM tubing. He’s currently building my front bumper. I’ll post pics once it’s on.

Whenever I figure out how I want to setup my rear LT, he’s going to build me a custom bed cage. One change though is we’re going to make it a non-intrusive as possible. I actually use my bed space quite a bit to haul stuff, so I need all the room I can get.

Ha, yeah, but….he’s been screwing people over, so no longer recommending him. There’s quite a few threads on here about him now. Shoot me a DM and I’ll send them to you

Thx, I thought that comment had been made in the LTBS thread where it got buried and lost over time, but deleted the mention of the shop in my OG post now. Read a bunch of that stuff earlier this year. Nuts...
