I have been thinking about what to use for bugs etc. when sleeping in the bed. Not really an issue out west, but here in the wilds of Wisconsin it would be suicide to try sleeping out without cover. I was going to make a custom screen, but the wife and I were talking about getting another tent the other day and I realized we had an old 5 person tent that we never use anymore. Hah! I shortened two of the poles and it fits like it was made for the truck. Will work in bed only or with my platform. Need to make a system for the end so it stays off my toes, but it was a painless solution.

It would probably a lot more comfortable if you just pitch the tent on the ground. That way you don’t have to unload your truck at night to sleep. The raccoons are going to raid your cooler on the ground with there friends.

Yep... sound like my wife. Never have slept on the ground-always had a tool box and slept on that. I have a platform system and everything is in the drawers/cubby so nothing to unload. Cooler in the back seat. This is only for those sites that have bugs.
