We're getting to the end of the winter where I'd like to have a cap, but I've asked this on another forum and didn't get diddly for an answer.

Anyone know what other brands/models of trucks (size) that will match a gen2 long bed?

I'm just looking (c/l) for a functional (cheap) cap for the winter. It would sit on sawhorses the other 2 week's :D.

Check to see if the bed sizes are similar.
I'd guess no. Even 1st gen to 2nd gen to 3rd gen won't fit correctly.
But atleast It's not hard to set a shell on your truck to see for yourself.

Most of the add will say it from a 2010 Chebby s/b or 2000 Ranger, etc. I'd just like to eliminate them without driving all over the place to physically measure it. C/L sellers are funny to say the least. The info they leave out is scary stupid.

Yes I wouldn't ask seller.. I'd look up online the dimentions of the truck in question (that the cap is actually for) vs the truck you own. If you find a truck that's very close... then try to set it on my truck to check fitment before actual purchase.

You also may be able to look up or call leer or a.r.e to get dimensions of a few midsize trucks caps vs the dimentions of cap they sell for tacoma's.
