Finally after about 4 months of Craigslist searching for a 6ft bed Tacoma Cap for 2nd gen I getting one. This Sunday on Feb 3rd I'm going to Michigan to pick up this cap.

I have been looking in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, PA, New York, and West Virginia. This for the money and distance is the best that I've been able to find. If anybody in northern Ohio knows of any Gelcoat painters that would be nice info. I don't think the Magnetic Gray will look awful on a Silver Streak Mica but would like to see how much for color matching.

Sadly though to get the money I had to sell one of my dad's shotguns that he gave me. In late Nov of 2011 he told me in the late 70's he let a friend burrow his Browning Citori Trap (field grade) and never got around to picking it up. So after our S. Dakota Pheasant trip I called up the guy who it had been lent to. Luckily he still had it and by the looks of it from my dads description had not been used much. With a raised comb on the stock, no chocktubes, and 28in barrels to get it smithed to my liking (normal rise stock, 26in barrels, and chock tubes) would have been too much to do. Today I took it for the last time to Gander Mt. after multiple visits to other gun buying stores in 2 years, and got $540 cash for it.

As for sentimental value my dad told me since I got it after all these years it's yours and can do whatever I want with it. I think after we saw how much it would cost to smith it sold it for him that it wouldn't be around for long. Anyway I'll update this when I get pics of the cap on my truck.
