I went with the UnderCover ArmorFlex as I liked the idea of LineX on the exterior (exposed) side of the cover. It's been great honestly and no issues at all with it. Still looks pristine as I expected and very easy to clean. Two very minor annoyances with the cover - First, I wish it had the lineX coating on the underside as well. Not a huge deal but some scratches from items I've hauled and it's just bound to happen regardless. Second, the installation rail covers up the existing bed rails and bolts down to it. Meaning your bed rails are gone. Not a huge deal as I added d-rings to the bolts which provided a really solid tie down point. Probably more strong and secure than the oem plastic tie down cleats.

My guess for most is a price point issue... but we do offer some good discounts on them to forum members!

I decided to go with an Undercover Elite hard cover. There are times when getting things wet is not an option. Rigging an overhead pulley in the garage so its EZ to remove when I need to haul larger items.

Construction, durability, functionality, price and availability. These all played into my decision. I would have loved the Pro XR, but at double the price of the MX4 compromises had to be made. When this current one fails, I will consider an aluminum roll away tonneau.

I have the oem trifold and like it for the most part. It feels heavy duty / secure and keeps all rain out and looks good. My only complaint is that when needing the full bed you can’t fold up the last panel so you have to fully remove the tonneau which is easy to do but heavy and awkward. Not sure if any tri folds you can fold up the last piece for driving but if so I would go that route instead.

I bought a BakFlip based on the reviews here. It fits well, and seems to be made with quality materials. Nothing looks or feels cheap.
I haven't had it out in the rain yet, but I know it will probably let in a little water.
One thing to note, the 'new' G2s allow you to open and close the tailgate with the cover closed (just like the MX4).

I installed a MX4 last weekend. My friends have bakflips on their truck(s), so they came recommended.

I have yet to drill out / expand the holes for the drain tubes, so I have water in the bed when it rains. I am pleased with the results.

There are some nice tonneau covers out there but the MX4 BakFlip has gotten the most positive reviews on this Forum.

I was leaning towards the MX4, EVEN before reading all the current testimonials.

I have a bed mat & bed lights now...that I will open for Christmas (gift from my wife) as well as chrome black wheel locks.

The drain tubes seem like a good install as shown in earlier post.

The plan is to buy the MX4 in the first quarter of 2022. I want to be able to put my bed mat on without worry of theft. With the tailgate lock install I did last month, my truck will have a secure bed in the New Year.

You can get reducers (fittings) that fit in the drain tubes and then will fit in the smaller bed drain holes. No drilling
    See post #10 for example

Just playing devils advocate but I had an OEM tri-fold and would never go back to a bed cover now that I have a topper. Wasn't a fan of having to play tetris with gear to keep it low enough and if I wanted to haul anything around that was just a little too tall I had to essentially leave the bed open and unlocked. Just something to think about.

I never wanted a shell as it limits my ability to hop in and out of the bed easily, put my motorcycle in there or anything tall, and they are heavy AF if you want to remove it. That's why I went with the tonneau as its easy to remove and light and can fold it up if I want a bike in there etc. Just depends on needs

For sure. I don't haul a motorcycle and if I did a shell would be out of the question.

Definitely depends on the needs of the Taco owner...I have a motorcycle too but I'm not loading it on my truck anytime soon.

The low line is fine for my current needs. Plus, I haven't priced camper/toppers but that's an expensive add-on for a quality product. (I wouldn't go cheap on one)

    Very NICE!!!!

    Notes taken this link: https://artemisoverland.com/product...am-toyota?variant=32833866334313&currency=USD

The SmartCap incorporates a high mounted third brake light that's a real attention grabber when slamming on the brakes.

Sleekly designed into the top of the SmartCap, our integrated Roof Rails allow you to utilize other SmartComponents for mounting rooftop tents, bikes, kayaks, ladders—you name it. Plus, if you already own a rack system, no problem. SmartCap is universally designed to mount just about anything. Brilliant, top to bottom.

The Positive Pressure Air Vent filters fresh air into the cap at a greater velocity than the enclosed bed is capable of sucking air in. This keeps road dust outside, rather than all over your stuff. Whew!

Put it on. Take it off. Put it on. Take it… you get the idea. The SmartCap comes on or off in just 15 minutes—giving you the flexibility to haul taller loads.

Rain, snow, freezing temps – bring it! SmartCap’s 5-piece design includes an innovative sealing method that when properly installed makes the SmartCap completely weatherproof, come hell or high water.

SmartCap is forged from strong automotive-grade stainless steel. The EVO holds up to 330 lbs when moving and a whopping 770 lbs when parked. That’s heavy duty.
