    Oh, man!

The wife bought (at my request) the 5' Bed Mat, Bed Lights, and Wheel Locks for my Taco Christmas!

The MX4 will be used to keep my bed mat from theft...and will also be used for securing groceries or any other type of cargo! If we do late night shopping, my bed lights will be utilized!

I'm looking forward to that MX4 purchase!

EDIT thanks for the explanation in price difference, Ryan!!!

Armorflex warranty is 5 years; 10 if installed by one of their preferred dealers. It can hold 400# on it as well. (If you're referring to the Armorflex)

This one looks like it's slightly better than the MX4.

Easier install instructions too. This is a 2016 Tacoma but should be almost the same.

    And another install guide.

I have had a Bakflip G2 tri-fold for 11 years on my 2nd gen in New England and it has been AMAZING. Having the hard cover makes for a great shelf or deck to put things on. I love having it in the winter when the snow comes. I just sweep it off with the same broom I use for the windshields. When we get heavy snow I put 3 buckets full of sand in the bed and brace them with bed bars for extra weight and they stay completely dry.

I am in the process of replacing some of the rubber seals and stuff that have started to wear and tear from constant usage. I Had to Liquid Nails (fuze it) 1 of the crossmembers back into place since the factory adhesive had started to sag over the summer heat. I went ahead and Fuzed the other crossmember along the edges and some of the areas that it was starting to gap also. I purchased a couple of parts from BakFlip direct to replace the other worn parts.

BAKFLIP CAB BUMPER KIT (2)- $9.96 replacing the protective bumpers that are on each of the 3 sections. They are starting to tear
BAKFLIP ELEVATOR BOLT KIT-$9.98 -starting to rust
BAKFLIP DRAIN TUBES (1)-$6.98 - many season changes are making them harden and starting to clog.
BAKFLIP DRAIN CAPS (1) -$5.98- they seem to be ok, but im doing it all anyways so $5 is not bad.
BAKFLIP PROP ROD (2)-$23.96- same as before... preventative part of project.
BAKFLIP/RX2 FLAT RAIL SEAL- $15.98 Runs down the sides of the truck bed it takes the weight of the cover. It is fully compressed in some areas and tearing in others.
    Order Total: $77.47

Totally worth the initial $850+ that they cost 11 years ago

Well, you're on a tight budget. My recommendation is definitely not encouraged if expensive single purchases are not in your budget.

I love my Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Tonneau Hard Cover by Leer. It's easy to install and looks great. The price point is not way up there with other models but it ain't cheap either.245169799_10220107522941942_2436510963927374542_n.jpg

    In a sense/word, I am.

I was ready for some banter comeback...glad it was laughed off.

It's good to get to know people on here...I've had some good interactions...and I don't want that to stop.

Custerfan revealed something about himself, financially. He didn't have to...but he did. Whether or not it's true is another story but I give the benefit initially.

"Keep it up, juerco hothido", my mother use to say (in Spanish/Tex-Mex) back in my youth.

So to you guys, I say...keep it up! lol

The extra 5 years if installed by one of their preferred dealers is like buying a 5 year warranty for $75.00 (The cost for them to install it)

It was figured in the price then. No one these days does anything out of the kindness of their heart.
