Maybe adding a bolt on bicycle wheel holder to help hold the bike in place. Possible front and back, no need to remove the front wheel.

 

That could definitely be an option. You can bolt pretty much anything to them.

Not sure, but this may work (or something similar) in place of the bolts on the tie down for quick release or mounting. If this turns out to be a worthwhile adventure, possibly manufacture your own eventually to work with the Bed Brackets.

 

This is what I use to fit though the holes of the Tie Downs to hook the cargo net in the back of the bed.

In order to maintain maximum rigidity, you want pressure from the bolts while the brackets are mounted to the cleats.

Great for my skis in the winter or double to hold my fishing rods in the summer.

 

I never even thought about using them for fishing rods!!!

I have two 13' centerpin rods that break down into two pieces, but still don't fit in the cab.
