Bed Cubby Caps for Sale

Just gotta add to this thread that I ordered and installed my Bed Cubby Caps and the process was very well outlined with Mike. Great communication and received the product in under a week.

Just wanted to say, I have been thinkin' on and looking for options to seal up those cubbies and still have them retain their usefulness (and not just seal up holes and toss the covers). Walked around home depot for a while and couldn't find anything I thought would work. Came back, and searched TW again, then found this thread (I hadn't seen this cap option before on the other dust and waterproofing threads). Went from happy "exactly what I need" to downtrodden "he's been banned", and then to happy again when I reached end of thread and it appeared he was still shipping them.

Figured "what do I have to lose, it's twenty bucks". Placed an order 9 days ago, and they were in the mailbox today. No idea how long they've been there as I haven't checked mail in about a week.

Very pleased. These will work great, and don't require trying to brain out a solution then find parts and modify them to work. Well worth the $20 to avoid the headaches and time when someone else has already done the groundwork. Not sure what previous problems were, but these were received fast, and look to fit the bill perfectly.

 

Yes I had one of mine fall of. Lucky for me it happened in the garage.

Saw a cubby for sale here in BST and it immediately made me think of these…
In the pictures the inside was covered with road dust. I thought of how clean mine are, and why they are so clean. Figured a bump might introduce to the new folks a great mod worth its weight…

 

Funny that you bumped this today. I haven't heard anything on my order placed on the Sept 18th. I just reached out to see if they have shipped. Anyone know why the OP is banned?

Just heard back from the OP. They have been shipped and the tracking number says that it is supposed to be delivered today. It will be tomorrow though because they do not show as out for delivery.

 

Mine got here today and I have installed them. That is some strong tape.

 

Op isn’t banned (that I know of)… there are just folks that like the strike-through or colors in their username. Some of the mods even do it. Weird I know, but to each their own. Perhaps a silent protest or something…

Not to hijack this thread but looks like OP was banned and wanted to share. I just created and uploaded some to thingiverse to download and print. They are a little different but same concept.

If I recall, thingverse will print for $$. If not, there are plenty of other places on the web. Heck, my local library has 3D printers.

The original maker still does them, but something happened here where he left/banhammer. I still have his contact info somewhere as I matched him up some time ago.

 

Anyone order these and still have contact info for the seller. They seem perfect for what I'm looking for.
