For those that have received their covers the installation guide has been attached to the bottom of this post

    **Order Form**
    Cubbies - $20
Gaskets - +$2 per gasket type

*Fits 2nd & 3rd gen cubbies (1st gen sadly weren't special enough to get them:pout:)

I got sick of having moisture and road debris getting into the bed cubbies, so I designed some covers that'll work to stop that from happening. Introducing Cubby Covers: IMG_20170517_223614229.jpg

These work to cover the slots on the top and bottom of the cubby, where the latches and clips go, while still allowing for full use of the OEM doors or aftermarket metal doors. The covers being sent out will be black like above but for prototyping I used white for my own set, which also helped for the photos.

    IMG_20170509_172724697.jpg

They are priced at $20 for a full set that'll fit either TRD or SR sizes (TRD= 1 LG + 1 SM & SR= 2 LG cubbies) and a set will also include hole plugs for the drains at the back of the cubby. I found a gasket that can be added onto the OEM doors to help seal out the water; which can be included for an additional $2. These prices included shipping, if you live in Canada if you could add ~$5 to cover additional shipping costs I'll gladly ship to you as well. To place an order use this Order Form (if you could send it as friends & family that would be helpful for me). The order form will ask you what size you need and has information for payment as well.

I did testing to insure that the covers and gaskets would work:
    IMG_20170517_181645872.jpg IMG_20170517_182245670.jpg IMG_20170517_180306565.jpg IMG_20170517_180337029.jpg IMG_20170517_181008535.jpg

Each cubby had a piece of paper inside to gauge how much water got in, and the results are that either option would prevent water from getting in. I sprayed the door and seals then from underneath. (I thought for sure that the LG OEM door was going to leak since I cut the gasket short, seen above, but to my surprise it was still bone dry)
    IMG_20170517_183524059.jpg

For the aftermarket locking metal doors the seal provided by the company did not seal out water so I found a better option that was used in this testing.IMG_20170517_181832991_HDR.jpg

Can these be installed with the cubby taken out, applied, and reinstalled, or does it require going under the truck to install?

I would like to make sure the cubby is clean so the seal sticks properly.

How do I order? Maybe I missed it but does the door gasket come with it and will that work with original plastic doors?

I'm putting together instructions to go with every set but, yes I would recommend cleaning the cubbies prior to installing. So they will have to be removed for cleaning and to apply the top covers but, the bottom covers will need to be applied while the cubbies are attached to the bed.

BTW, that form is legit. But have a suggestion...

For question #2, I would rephrase the question and answers.

What trim level do you own? *
    • SR model (has two large cubbies)
    • TRD model (has one large & one small cubby with inverter)
Also recommend adding your Paypal Link right above the submit button. I couldn't find it at first. LOL

Ima gonna get these. Just to confirm- these also stop water coming into the cubby from under the truck correct?
