I know a lot of you fellow Taco owners do not like the decals and remove them. I sort of think they make the truck pop. I was thinking of changing out my factory bed decal with an aftermarket and wanted to get some thoughts and opinions on this.

I was thinking of replacing the factory decal with the below version. Thoughts?

It's not my cup of tea but if wanted to make it 'pop', I would not go for blue on blue.

Thinking you'd get more pop out of a new tailgate and bumper!

Not for me, but it's your truck. One thing to consider if you're looking for pop is your proposed decal has a black outline around the blue, so it will all kind of blend together from a distance and create less pop.

I haven't seen a single aftermarket bed decal that looks better than the stock decal. Though, that's obviously completely subjective.

Sweet! In that case I say ditch the Toyota/TRD advertisements and look for something a bit more unique to you. FWIW - Ebay has all sorts of interesting high quality "stickers".

On our new '22 Super Duty, have black with the black package. Instead of the std red (similar to the TRD) sticker, it comes with a grey / charcoal version for the FX4 sticker. I'm thinking the same would look good on your blue.

Almost like what's shown above, but no blue... just grey.

Ford has a dark blue color and it's available in the black package. May be able to find a pic online.

I still have the factory OR decal and i'm kinda indifferent. Personally I think the proposed decal you show has a kind of "pep boys" look to it so I wouldn't do it, but hell it's your truck!

I've seen some aftermarket bedside stickers I liked and thought were cool, that however is not one of them. Like others have said, its your truck do as you wish!

I bought a couple of aftermarket versions of the 3rd gen decals. Personally I love how they pop off the blue.

This is more what I was referring too with the Ford Black package sticker. Maybe a litter darker.

Another vote for something like this over the original pic... this seems much cleaner.

I like the bedside decals but would stay period correct with the ones already on the truck for the 2nd gen, just my opinion.

Yeah, I’ve decided to just stick with what’s on there! Those blue decals I posted aren’t even a “shiny” material and look more like regular paper! No thanks! Thanks fellas for the tips!!

--I'm with VanDoom, if it was my truck I would go for the 3rd Gen decals. Very tasteful, gives that "updated" look but subtly. BTW, I love the blue on those trucks!
