Is it dented on both side or just the right side? Do you have a RTT that would flex the bed?

Short box too. I think it may have been from the St George/Hurricane area.

Well thats certainly strange, I'd check bed bolts, otherwise.... well I've never heard of anything like this before

Was there a specific event where you heard or felt something weird that would have done this?

I had the same issue but with no damages yet with my brand new truck, see my post #114- and all the others on this thread below, your bed is out of alignment to the frame and the cab may be as well. It was a warranty fix, hope yours is too.

Is it just me or does the bed look super close to the cab of the truck . Like it was installed incorrectly.

Wonder if enough force applied while dragging the tow hitch could do that. If it’s even possible.

No way that the bed made those dents. How wide are your tires? Looks like they could have kicked something up.

    Did you jump it?
At slow speeds like trail speeds, there is no way you get enough flex to do that.
However, at high speeds like jumping the damn thing, it changes because now you have more dynamic forces and it could flex enough to do that.
    Send it.

Unfortunately, flex and bed to cab damage in trucks is common. If you think about how a truck is built, you have a flat ladder frame connecting bed to cab.
Very similar to how your spine connects your hips to your rib cage. The only thing stiffening the center is your core muscles. Same with trucks. There is only so much you can do to stiffen a frame. By contrast an SUV is a solid piece body connecting to the frame which makes the entire unit considerably stiffer.

The only thing you can to prevent this is stiffen everything up as much as you can. Bed stiffeners are cheap and help. Frame bolted skids add a lot of rigidity to a frame. I am adding RCI skids and armor to my truck more for the stiffening than protection.

They're from the bed. Easier to tell in person.

Are you even really driving it if you're not gapping it like Boss Hogg is after you?
