Looking at a truck, and from the pics, the bed doesn't appear to line up with the cab. Carfax is clear, but those aren't always 100%.

Is that a normal amount, or does the truck appear to of been wrecked to you?

If you wouldn't have pointed it out I don't think I would have noticed.

if the trucks been repaired in any "under the radar" fashion then im pretty sure carfax wont show it. if its a great deal ask if a third party mechanic can check it out maybe.

I'm weird about lines, and I caught it in the first pic.

Well... If you're anything like me... if it bothers you now before you buy it. It will really bother you after.

just me- if you look at the 2nd picture (middle one), that truck looks bow legged

if theres still doubt, bring an autobody guy with you and they can quickly tell you if any part of that truck has been repainted

What do you mean by bowlegged in reference to the truck?

Most beds aren't lined up side to side/ katty whompass. Never seen one where the side is low like the picture you posted. I would check where the bed bolts to frame. See if composite bed brace is crushed. It could be shimmed up, if not crushed. I would look very closely at it. I can see the bed front is not even with rear window also.

What would cause that? A simple bolt adjust as mentioned earlier, or is there something bent, crushed, or broken under there?

Yea it's really obvious in this pic... I'd have it looked at by a professional for sure.

have the dealer shim it and be done. Run a carfax and see if it shows any accidents. If it is consistent on both sides I would say the production tolerances were not on the nominal range and with all the different parts they stacked up is my guess.

Only issue with inspecting it before I buy is that it's far away. Was going to be a fly and buy type thing.

Happened to my F150 back in 2006. I only had the truck for 2 months or so. I got rear ended by another F150 while stopped on a red light. It was a decent impact, although nothing got bent or broken at the time. I realized my bed is slanted and not aligned with the cab only days after.

Looks like the Tacoma is worse in those pics.

I say get under it and look good. It looks to me from the looks of the front left bed someone has beat the hell out of it. Being that far from the seller I would walk.

    Edit:

In fact any bed looking like that has to be a sure give away they didn't give a damn so I would say they felt the same about the rest of the truck. WALK! Zooming in on that bed it shows that bed has been to hell and back.

The composite bed frame sit's on the truck frame. I just crawled under mine in the garage, there is no spacers. It can only be a crushed bed rail that runs from side to side, or a bent truck frame. I would guess the composite rail that runs side to side is crushed. Car faxes are a load of crap. They only show stuff that is done a dealers, or if insurance work is done. It's shows on car fax if shop turns it into car fax. Your neighbor hood shop doesn't do that.
