There are people that'll do the inspection for you if you're from out of town. We've used them a couple times and they do a great job inspecting vehicles. Saves you the headache after buying a vehicle without seeing it yourself.

I smell new paint. That truck looks to clean for the bed to look like that. Look at the tailgate cover, looks new compared to the rest of the bed. look at the metal upright parts on each side of the bed, no way the tailgate cover going to look new.

Probably, can be adjusted with shims; but if you are buying the truck, I would look at it closer.

A friend had an accident, involving his Tacoma; The truck was hit , in the left rear corner; by a rear end collision. Not a bad hit at all, but it did hit the bumper, right at where it attaches to the frame. The bumper did have to be replaced, the left rear tail-light was broken.

This was a TRD Sport, which had the integral trailer hitch.

Didn't look too bad, at all. He took it to a body shop, for an estimate; thinking only the bumper, taillight, and minor damage around the tail-light.
The body shop was on the ball and, told the guy to, look at the cab, where the bed meets it. Almost like your center picture.

The frame was tweaked. Which in turn, messed up the wheelbase measurement, not very much; but some. The estimate was written; and the frame was pulled on a frame machine. No shims were used, and the bed alignment was perfect after that repair.

OK: You can add shims and try to adjust the bed a little. (I personally had those front bed mounting bolts out of mine, when I fabricated a motorcycle front wheel, hold-down on mine. And there really isn't too much adjustment there.) But if the frame is tweaked, if only a little bit; your wheelbase could " I say Could" be off . Tire wear and drivability may be affected.

Thanks for the insight guys. Was going to end up being a good deal, but don't want to buy a problem truck. The carfax had some weird owner history, but chalked that up as someone not liking the access cab, but with the bed being like that, and not being able to take it to someone I trust to give it a good once over, I'm going to have to pass.

That bed has been butchered in a bad way. I figure whatever that bed was used for is why that bed sags on the driver side.

I am anal when it comes to my things. That's why I buy new. Then I know everything about the truck.

Are you talking about the white scratches and scuff marks ?
