Tried searching to find an answer but didn't come across it. I'm getting a Bak F1 (or Gator FX3) cover and want to make sure it will fit with the Toyota branded bed extender. I'm guessing there must be a number of guys running this combo if it is compatible.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
I had a Toyota extender on both my '06 and my '13, each truck had a LEER cap. I could not flip the extender, I had to uncilip it and re clip it each time. The problem comes in if anything narrows the width above the bed such as in my case, the cap slopes inward and does not have sides like a box. From what I know about a backflip, as long as it's open, you won't have an issue. You will not however be able to flip it when closed since the extender will extend above the bedside level while flipping. Worst case, unclip it and reclip it like I did. The extender does have a little room side to side, I don't think that the backflip rail will be an issue.

I have an OEM Toyota extender in my garage, I don't think that I'll install it on my '14. i only used it sbout 3 times and each case was to carry a mattress. Not worth having around for my needs, especially now that I have a long bed.
