Wondering if anybody can help me out with a question about a bed extender for my 2010 TRD 4x4.

When not in use can the Bed extender be flipped around (ie put up the tailgate and it would be secured inside the truck bed? If it can be flipped around, would a tonneau cover close properly while it's in place?

Essentially, I am wondering if the bed extender can be securely stored inside the box of the truck, or does it have to be removed when not in use?

Any comments are appreciated.... thanks guys

Don't have one, but yes they flip inside the bed when not in use. Not sure on a tonneau but I'd imagine it should be able to close just fine over it.

Welcome and congrats on your new ride. When open, the extender sits on top of the opened tailgate. Then you just flip the extender forward up and over towards the inside of the bed. It makes a nice bed divider when the tailgate is closed. Good for coolers or groceries. It sits just under the height of the bed rails so yes, a cover can go on.

looked at one at the dealer, you should be able to close a cover over it from what I saw.

It will work fine. What cover are you going to get? I just got my Access LE truckalterations.com from Luke give him a call for a better price. TW get a better price than listed price.
