Bed Extender Measurement

Not sure this is the best place for this post but here goes. I am looking into a bed extender for my DCLB. I carry a 48gal Action Packer in the bed.

If you have a DCLB and a bed extender, would you be kind enough to flip the extender to the inside and measure the distance from the extender to the tail gate in the closed position? I'm trying to see if the container will fit in that space when not using the extender - tail gate down position.

 

I have 18 1/2". You can get 19" - 19 1/2" depending where you mount the swivel brackets on the bedside posts.

edit: I just clicked on the link. At 20" I'm not sure if the extender can be mounted to fit this. I can check in a little bit for you when it quits raining.

 

If it's that close I'm not sure it will work because I have a Bakflip F1 hard cover on the bed and as it is I have to set the container back about 4-5 inches fro the tailgate to clear a rail that's attached to the underside and hanging from the bed cover about an inch or the cover just won't latch.

Edit: Wow I think I just set a personal best for a run on sentance.

 

Yea its not gonna work in that case. I went out and measured just now and the most you can get is about 20 1/4".
