This was about your question about Rust.

Sorry I did not see your post until now.
Difficult to give advice. We try what we feel is best.

In my case it was bedliner on truck undersides, that was before I heard of Chassis Saver which I would probably use from now on.

The problem that I saw with my recently bought tacoma when I put it on the lift is that the 2 beams in the chassis are closed beams and not I-beams or C-beams which has way lest trouble than closed beams The latter can let water out, the former needs drain holes with always higher humidity and moisture buildup inside the closed beam and resultant severely fast rust as a consequence.

So I have been thinking on how to treat the insides of these closed beams.
What I want to try is to fill the entire beam inside up with some catalyst/Converter such as thinned Chassis Saver.
If I can plug the entire beam, It should be possible. That way all the rust is converted internally, and when the converter fluid is drained out, it can still be used as only about 10% of its effectivity was used. This should prevent most future internal rust issues.
The trick is to completely plug the beams so that absolutely the entire volume of the beam will be in contact with the converter fluid.

This is what I am going to try this year. It might end up as a hairbrain idea, but I cannot see why it would not work.
Best part is... Where the residual converter dams up after you drain it out, will be exactly where moisture would dam up also. So it should be very effective. The converter will convert rust to inert magnetite, which definately works like a charm.

    Tell me what you think.
Once I tried it I will load a video up, unless someone here has a slam dunk reason why I should not do it.

Sorry my question was not clear I should have worded it better .

What is your secret for applying rubber Undercoating so it works instead of causing more damage as in most cases .

So your getting 300,000 miles without issues.

You must be quite wealthy to have this process and not to have sold it.

Unfortunately Chassis Saver only goes so far. I used it on my hitch and can say after a couple of years it peels off like bad paint. I had taken it down to bare metal and wire-wheeled the entire surface beforehand. maybe inside the frame would hold up better but something else seems like a better idea

If I were rich I would not pamper my cars to 300,000 miles

That is scary. I wanted to start to try Chassis Saver, but your experience make me doubt. I still think it is a good idea to use it inside the enclosed chassis beams though as it converts rust. I will do that this year and report back.

maybe after doing that then hit it with a protective like POR15 or Wool Wax. that will go further than just CS alone

    Thanks Frizzman,
Is there any consensus in using POR-15 vs bedliner as an underchassis paint ?
The price for a gallon of POR-15 is pretty good.
Anyone had great success with POR-15 on the underside chassis for rust prevention. ?

Did you have any luck with the bed extender? I'm looking for the same thing. I dont want any holes drilled but I want to make sure the oem extender is worth it before I buy.
