How does it / how easy is it to install one?

How easy does it "flip" from not in use to in use?

What are the actual dimensions from inside corners to the tailgate (when inside the bed/not in use)? How far between the two inside corners?

How much weight can the rails support?

Does it block the outlet in the TRD OR model?

    Thanks.

They are really easy to install. You just need to pop out the taillights and using supplied templated drill the holes. Cover the holes with anti-rust.
The bed extender are very simple to take in and put back. Just lift, the extender will come out. To set it back, is the same.
When not in use, you flip it inside, the dimension is around 24 inches to the tailgate, and the width is around the same as the width of bed minus 3-4 in each side.

I did not measured mine just eyeballed . Mine is the original Toyota part.

    Thanks.

The distance between the "short" "inside" corners? You know... the 45*s. Or I guess, the length of the rails that run parallel to the tailgate.

Am trying to determine if one of my smaller gang/tool boxes would slide easily in (while not in use), when transporting from jobsite to jobsite.

Also, wondering how much weight they might be able to take. Say if I wanted to transport some electrical conduit (10' lengths).

I have one and use it quite a bit. I wouldn't rest much over 50 lbs on it though.

the bed extender forms a "c". The end of the c" is 22 inch, the middle is 33 inch and opening is 47 inch

You do not need to remove tail lights. I installed my own extender.

Can anyone please post pics of how the bed extender is mounted and stowed with the tailgate closed when not in use?

Mine is a Top Line Bed Extender, universal fit. Only takes up 4” of space when not in use am[nd can be removed in just seconds.

I really like this, anyway I could get you to measure how far it sits from the bed sides when the tailgate is closed? I have bed stiffeners and want to see if it would fit inside and clear then when closed

    Thanks

They are adjustable, bed stiffeners won’t be a problem.

They are really easy to take out if you don’t want it in the bed or if you need to load the bed. Just extend it out 45 degrees above the tailgate and lift up. Also works great under a tonneau cover.

Factory or like the one above? The factory one is also a 3rd party company that Toyota uses.
