bed extenders and tail light guards, opinions

yeah i purchased some tail light guards yesterday.

i dont haul much so im still iffy on the bed extender but i do have a tool box so i may get one to make up for dislpaced space.

what happened to your truck?

 

i spun out on an interstate bridge. slick tires+rain+going fast= wreck

i think that could be an excuse for the wifey to let you get some tail light guards ;-)

i ordered my ebay brush guard on sunday....should have it pretty soon. also...gonna order a black stock grille...since im losing all my chrome!

 

I had a bed extender but never used it, so I sold it. I have a 6' bed so bikes go in easily, and use straps to hold things down/in the bed if I need to leave the gate down. The tailgate limit is 200# so be careful loading it.

BTW if anyone needs a hardware kit for the 2nd Gen tailgate- I still have it.

I hope you know tail light guards wouldn't have helped anything with that wreck.

 

Bed extenders come in handy when needed. I didn't use mine that much. But if you do get one, it is a must to have a tailgate lock! Or that extender won't be around long.

 

explain what you mean by tail gate lock. and why?

ok here's what happened: I started hydroplaning, the front end hit the right side guard rail, spun around again (at this point I'm pointing down the wrong side of the interstate), the rear end hit the rigth side guard rail also ( now im point the correct way), and i finally stopped. here's a diagram of the wreck

 

luckily i was the only car involved so noone was hurt, but when i say the damage i about puked

i hear ya on the wife/gf thing, mine got mad at me because i kept modding the taco, so i broke up with her, she was crazy anyways

 

mine is a 1st gen.

and if i catch any one tryin to yank peices off my truck (it is stored in the garage and infront of PD at the station) theyll likely to die of lead poisoning

 

ive been with mine and im getting the why do you care so much about a stupid truck. while ive been outta town shes been hangin out with some skinny skater with nut huggers.

im either gonna beat his ass to the ground and leave her or just thank him and walk off
