My bed on the driver side is cracked. Won’t allow me to put my tailgate back up. It sags a lot lower. Welding a piece might keep it straight and to where I can put my tailgate back on? Any suggestions guys Hopefully it’ll close properly. I don’t want to buy a bed, I’ve been looking anyways but none in surrounding areas. I’m located in Redding ca

This would be my first idea, a long with some padding so protect the liner.th-2633836734.jpg

If not that, I'd try a welding shop to see if they could patch it up the best they could. Or a really fat friend and some JB weld.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Time for some major work to have this done correct.

Hard to quote without all the damage visible .

This has been on going for sometime it just got to the point the tail gate will no longer close. Op you never took notice ?

No idea what beds go for out yonder it might be cheaper .

    Good luck!

Well, bottom looks like the crack went all the way through.

Pull up that bed liner and drill a relief hole at the end of the crack to prevent it from spreading farther.

I'm in the Central Valley and would weld that bad boy up. Would need a hand though with some clamps to pry it a bit as it's bowing inward hence you can't close up your tailgate.

I wonder were the bed stiffeners added after the crack . As a band aid that did not work.

Impact damage that after time just grew? Most cracks are in the Heat Effected Zone not inches from any welds.

Winter Chemical Tacoma this is just the tip of interesting things.

Good Luck figuring the spring back after welding.
