My 23 OR didn't come with bed lights. I did put a MX4 on the back, so I'd like some light for at night. Local dealer is $80ish for the lights or I can go online for aftermarket for half the price. Those that went aftermarket, any suggestions?

I found a few dealers that sell the OEM lights for in the $50 ballpark. When I looked at them in a buddy's truck I felt they were "good enough" for me. There are cheaper non-OEM sets on Amazon but a bunch had reviews that there were issues and not totally reliable. If your truck already has the switch for them, you just need the lights. If not, you'll need the switch (~$85) and possibly the relay.

Not exactly the same, but a guy on here sells some under-the-bedrail LED strips. I installed those instead of bed lights since they give a little better coverage and light up all corners of the bed

I'd say OEM simply for ease of installation, but never really been impressed with the output I've seen with OEM of aftermarket.

if going aftermarket, I wouldn't get a drop in kit. I'd make a DIY solution with aftermarket pods / strips with way higher output than any drop in solution. Probably just get some VLED puddle pods, drill a hole and splice wiring.

    I bought aftermarket from Amazon.
    No problem.
Easy install, work great, inexpensive, and don't see the need to pay extra, for oem or whatever for minor things.

My tacoma came with led bed lights too. They work great. Imo, stick with oem.

I have a set of OEM I bought but never installed that I'm willing to sell for far cheaper than $80 if you're interested?

I bought a set off of EBay for $19.00. Identical to OEM and work great. Very high quality. (had OEM part number on box) Plug and play and only a few minutes to install.

Amazon - 30$ CAD. Failed at 2.5 years. Dropped in another set. Don’t know if these will last longer. But 1/3 of the OEM price in canada. Super simple installation too.
