Hi everyone. i'm completely new to the truck scene but have found this forum to be an awesome resource for info on DIY.

i just picked up a 2013 that was previously a work truck for a cleaning company. with the help of this forum i've been working on cleaning it up so i can use it as a daily driver. one thing that bothers me when i look at the truck though is the plastic bed liner. its pretty scratched and dinged up and sticks out like a sore thumb.

i've been searching this forum on was to fix or refinish it but all i've found is spray on bedliner for the metal, nothing to actually fix the plastic bedliner.

just wondering if anyone has had any luck refinishing or in any way helping the look of the factory bed liner.

    That's not a liner, that's the bed :)

I haven't tried myself, but I'm guessing someone here has put regular spray on bedliner over their composite (plastic) bed. Search around and I'm sure you'll find something.

I'm almost 100% sure the 13s had the composite bed. Look (feel) underneath the bed and you'll be able to tell, but I'm really almost positive.

2005-newer tacomas have the composite bed. Some have success getting it sprayed with Line-x or rhinoliner.

Take some 400 sandpaper to just to clean it up. Then rattle can it with Krylon fusion black paint it , throw a bed matt in it, or even one of those carpet kits and it’s gone.
