Used this for my bed mat. It is 3/4" thick, heavy and tough. To cut it use a utility knife and wd-40. Spray the blade and cut... Repeat. The pieces that you cut for the wheel wells fill the gap by the tie downs. I'll try to get pics later. Quiets down the road noise a ton! There might be another post on here somewhere, but it worked very well and is 10x better than the $90 one I was looking at. I think a few of these will be fatigue mats in the wood shop soon

I did this same thing last fall! Best route to go IMO.

What did you use to cut the mat? Also can you show pics of the cuts?

I used a boxknife to carefully cut the mat. Just use a tapemeasure to get dimensions and cut it out. It helps to cut the mat if you make one swipe not pushing very hard, then bending at the cut to continue cutting. Im about to take pictures of my bedmat.

Thanks JTyates! That is exactly like mine... Great minds think alike! To cut it I used a utility knife, chalk line, tape measure, framing square (straight edge)and wd-40. Lay out the lines, spray wd on the blade and take a shallow pass with the knife. Spray the blade again and cut it half way through the thickness. Spray it and make the final pass. Cuts easier than you might think. This thing is heavy as he'll and you don't have to worry about hurting the bed. I wanted to cut something for the tailgate, but can't think of a good way to attach it without screwing it into the gate:(

Those mats are also great for turning your garage into a weight room...The TSC in Canton, Tx used to have a giant stack outside with a big chain around them.

Weight room? WTF where would all of my cool stuff go? ATV, boat, classic car, tools, wood shop, mower, and kayaks... And you want a weight room?

FYI - They also carry 1/4", and 3/8". It is also available by the foot. I bought 10ft of the 1/4" yesterday for $5 something a foot. Also watch for remnants. They might cut you a deal. I may get more for a bed mat. Personally, I think 3/4" is too thick, but the 1/4 or 3/8" might be great.

I bought mine at a tractor supply and they had some that were different thicknesses and even some refurbished that had grooves cut in them that wouldve worked. And thank you Capt Jrod I forgot but I also used a framing square.

The garage was one half weight room, one half motorcycles support area for five BMW streetbikes, then there was a seperate 20x20 shop, with bike lift, next to that was a 15x40 RV shelter turned into additional coverage work space with slab floor, lights, power and compressed air. Plus 3 ton chain hoist for those motor swaps. Plus I had almost unlimited outside parking, both outside the fence, and inside the fence. Space for toys wasn't at a premium.

Now you're just showing off. Not everyone can have a shop.

You're forgiven... Images of a taco outside crying and a home gym inside were in my head.

We actually found those particular mats from TSC to be so rough that it would cause the dogs skin sores from contact.

I wasn't aware that was an issue. Our dog is small enough to ride in the cab. You are right, the mat is rough, but it works for my needs.

We cut one to size to fit the dog houses, because it was chew proof...

I did the exact same thing. Actually I stack two layers of 3/4" livestock mat in my 6' bed when my camper isn't loaded. (I have OME springs with extra leaf)

I keep buying more of those mats as I find more uses. They're great for laying on under the truck, mats or cushion for various spots, I have one under my high efficiency washer and dryer that are upstairs to cut down on vibration.
