I just got a Toyota Bed Mat for my 09 Tacoma. I heard many stories where people simply take them out, is there a way I can prevent mine from being stolen until I get my roll cover and pop lock?

    Thanks!

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
You can unscrew your bed bolts, cut a hole in the bed mat, and then place the bed bolt back in (with an appropriately sized washer of course). It's not locked per say, but a thief would need a torx bit to get your mat out...

You could give it to me....

But really your could used the bed bolts to secure it better. Drill just enough hole for the thread to go in, and the head of the bolts should secure it better. Try searching it on TW; there are a few threads here about it.

    oops....delmarva beat me to it.

I removed the two star bolts from the floor of my bed near the tailgate. I put two holes in my mat and installed the bolts and washers through the mat. I know that it can be cut or ripped but you can't just walk by and take my mat.

Thanks guys for all the input! I paid $109.00 at the dealer, was that a rip off? The list price was for $149.00... parts guy said he "hooked" me up... Did he?

I carry ladders on my truck and purchased some ladder locks by master lock. I run the cables through my eye bolts and cut a small hole in the bed mat and run it through their as well as the ladders.

I know a mats a mat but I want the tacoma one. Seen them for 50 or so on ebay but were shortbed ones. Long bed was 109 plus tax at cheapest dealer I found. 109 seems to be good price for factory one. saw online for 79 but was 40 shipping so no gain vs. just going & gettin & havin it now. I saw several other non factory ones were cheaper.

I guess if being "cool" matters to you. For me, I couldn't care less what a bed mat says, especially considering it's covered by a tonneau.
