Bed Mat: OEM or Aftermarket?

Maybe thats the trick, I need to wash this mat more often. I think I've only washed out my bed twice since owning this truck....no scrubbing either. I've only hosed off my truck once a winter, and spring when it's gotten too crudded up. It's been professionally ceramic glass coated...dealer told me not to wash it.

I bought mine a month before my truck came in. It stunk. I laid it out on my utility trailer and by the time my truck came in it didn't smell at all. The sunlight is the answer.

 

Wash the truck. The rain lately has been doing a better job than I could. Even my warranty on the ceramic coating claims there's no longer a need to wash and wax the vehicle like in the past.

 

I'm going to try that. I'll give it a good scrubbing, and hosing down also

Toyota is running free shipping and 20% off on accessories (bed mat included). I couldn't get mcgeorge's to work, so I did a local one which was a tad bit more, but still cheaper than what I've been seeing.

I ordered the Rough Country Mat for $90. Should have it by end of week.

 

I can tell you the gator ones are very good...buddy of mine bought one for about the same price shipped free to his door. If I hadn't ordered the tacoma mat with the truck, it'd be my 1st choice.

 

It's a rubber mat people, just buy one!

 

But its all about the smell factor.
