It was just an idea that I sent to my Fab guy to show him what I'm wanting to have built. I want a roof rack/ basket that goes over the cab and part of the bed. Along with a light bar on the front of the basket. I also want the roof rack/basket attached to my sliders and to the frame in the bed to form the start of my exo cage. Eventually I will ditch my bed and it will become a full expedition vehicle just one step at a time.

on a side note google sketch up is free easy to use.

gotcha. That makes sense now. Im doing a roof rack off the bed rack as well..but ill just copy Allpros design i think as i won't be going hard core enough to cage my truck. Think ill just keep my compressor, aux batter and lights and some tools up there so nothing super crazy heavy so i won't need the support. You gonna get it built tho?

I plan on having it by Moab. The basket it's self will be square tube aluminum to save weight up top.

The rack. Then the tent is taking all the wind force. If the rack was a bit lower it wouldn't create as much drag..just a personal thing i guess.

That would be negated once he got the roof rack done. The whole design was sweet and I would definitely do it if I had a use for all that.

no i like the allpro one. I based my design off that one. Its a bit lower so it seems to work better IMO.

True, it would also depend on what he would hold up in the roof rack i guess. Im thinking thats were my OBA system is gonna live.
