@Jeff@ExE Whelp. Seems like I popped 2 of y'all's threads on the compressor Mount. Now I'm trying to hold those down and get em tight.

Oh yeah. See it now. The PEM’s are pressed in from the back side, if they get cross threaded they can strip out of the aluminum. If you can remove the screw you can punch it out and install a nut and washer on the back side.

Maybe try holding it with a vice grip and tightening the screw to re seat it.

We’ve had a few of them get some powder coating in the threads causing the screws go in too tight. Could be another possibility.

I went and got a new thread, washer, and nut. No biggie. Now I'm having issues getting the damn cubby for back on... Struggle bus. The new opening is too narrow now

Not yet. I think I'm going to have to trim this bit right here.

Ok so real question here... why do I see a lot of people using JIC-04 fittings for their OBA setups? I realize that ARB offers the JIC fittings and hoses, but the female fitting that is on the compressor is 1/4 NPT (which is odd in itself, why not make the compressor JIC as well), which is way more than capable for 150psi. JIC fittings are typically used in fuel and hydraulic applications up to 10,000 PSI. My ARB twin compressor arrives tomorrow so I was poking around all these install threads to get ideas and i've seen this a lot.

Specifically for the OP... the parts you hyperlinked are 1/4 NPT, but you said you used all JIC fittings. Did you use an adapter from the 1/4 NPT to JIC, back to NPT? I hope this doesn't come off as antagonistic, I'm honestly confused and curious.

btw..... excellent looking install!! Expedition Essentials clearly knows there stuff.

I can vouch for the excellent quality of this mounting box.. I opted for the rear cubby as my engine bay was becoming increasingly crowded with various mods.. Currently running the compressor without an external tank which is fine for now, but the small manifold of the ARB twin cycles frequently, so down the line I'll be adding a tank as well...prob same as the OP's.. The enclosure box for the compressor is in a good position and since I have mud flaps there's no issue with water/dirt intrusion onto the compressor unless I submerged the bed end of the truck...
Shout out to @Jeff@ExE Great Product!

If I did want to use a CH4x4 switch instead of ARB’s 15amp switch, How would I do that safely? And please be as specific as possible, I don’t electricity good.

Ok so for the fittings. I actually used a mixture of fittings and hoses. I did post on message #14 the links I from where I sourced everything. The JIC fittings worked due to the fact that I come from a military aircraft hydraulics background from being in the NAVY it’s not a necessity, I just like them more and I found the lengths of braided line I wanted I could not find in normal NPT lines. You can use what you find works for you. Yes I used an NPT to JIC on the compressor and the tank I used jic to NPT the outflow of the tank is all NPT because I found the exact length I needed in that setup. It is kind of a hodgepodge of fittings and hoses.

I really could not tell you to be super truthful, I used what ARB told me to use and what they recommended was to make sure it was the right amp switch. Now I use a Switch-Pros setup.

Where did you get your power block from in the second picture? I’m needing to start clearing up wireing under the hood before I add anything else. I love your setup that you have and this is definitely a route I’m thinking about going now.

It’s blue sea systems distribution block. Amazon is where I got it. I made the mount myself, also got the aluminum off of amazon.
