So I have the bed mounted power outlet, which is really cool I use the heck out of that. On my old truck I used to have to hook up an inverter in the cab (what a pain).
Any way my question is " Has anybody wired this outlet so I would not have to run the engine?"

I would like to keep the dash mounted switch but be able to turn the inverter on without the key.

    Build thread in sig...
i'm no expert in that area, but i'm assuming that you could do it by rerouting the circut to not include the fuse box. so it would jsut include the switch, battery, built in inverter, and the outlet itsself

ya there are plenty of write ups on making the bed outled "hot" while the truck is off. I don't have on so I am not sure wehre they are
