I would like to mount a winch in my bed to pull logs up and such. Anyone ever mounted a winch at the rear of their bed? Are their an build threads?

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Think about putting the winch on the mount that goes in a receiver hitch. That way it doesn't take the bed space all the time. We used these in a company I worked for. One winch for the office and whoever needed would take it for the day.

Hmmm good idea. Would I be able to mount a snatch block in the rear of the bed so I could pull logs up into the bed.

With enough duct tape, all things are possible.

Just remember if you mount anything in the bed you'll need some kind of roller guide at the edge of the bed. Without it you'll be dragging line over the sharp point of the bed, you'll damage the bed and the line at the same time and 1 or the other, likely both, will fail.

I think if you can't carry it in, dragging it in by winch might ruin your tailgate. It seems our tailgates can't take much.

Anything that is bed mounted to do heavy work like that needs to be carefully thought out and reinforced. Composite bed and all that.

All good points. I think I'm gonna settle for manual labor or if I had thousands of dollars I could make a flat bed and mount a winch there. I'll settle for work lights though. Are there any work lights that can be mounted on the top of the cab or the rear bed rails.

Those do look good though they would illuminate the bed perfectly but once it's filled with wood I will be unloading in the dark

Not really. You'd be surprised how much light will 'leak' through your wood pile.

Here's a fairly neat option for behind the truck. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/question-about-tapping-into-reverse-lights.401001/#post-11169865 Just don't feed them off the reverse lights, wire them to a switch as a work light.

Here's another style and mounting location, and Cree makes one in a similar shape.

    Edit: And one more.
