Bed Puddles?

Isn't there any drainage in a Tacoma bed (2017 Access Cab long bed)? Water just sits there in the area near the cab.

 

The drain holes are towards the front check and see if they are clogged.

The drain holes are wee, they get clogged super quick. Just jam a stick or something similar in there to open them up again.

 

Or you could drive up a hill!But seriously, the drain holes may be plugged. Do you have a bed mat or rug? Check the drains and if plugged use a drill bit to clean them out.

Those drain holes always get plugged up.

 

Didn't look. Need to get a bed step for that. Plus it was raining. Plus I'm lazy. Plus there's this forum. Bed Puddles are available on Ebay for $175 each. But they do evaporate.

 

Minus, do you really need a step to look in the bed? I can reach mine to unclog them without even getting in the bed.. And I'm short.

 

I have 2 bed steps on my truck. Mine are made by Michelin.

 

I promise to check the drain holes! Good to know they're there.

You had them when you were young, and will probably get them back when you are old, too.

 

Honestly I drilled 2 more holes in my bed because the few that were there from factory weren't enough, no biggie, it's a composite bed

 

Bed step? Oh wait i was blessed with height and long arms. Lol

 

Update: found holes (using microscope). Can reach them despite height issues. Frankly they're so small it doesn't make much difference whether they're clogged or not.

 

Drill em bigger.

 

Drill them suckers out, make em bigger

 

Still not sure I get the composite bed thing. Is there steel under there?
