Right now I'm running a Truxedo Lo-Pro tonneau cover and I love it. I was shopping around for a roof rack to haul a couple kayaks, but now I'm leaning towards a bed rack instead because I actually like the look of the smooth top roof. I need to be able to access the bed still which I believe I can do with the VooDoo brackets, and being the tonneau cover is a soft roll-up, I think I could manipulate it to open. I'm also wanting a rack that doesn't look like a work truck, something with some style to haul a couple kayaks and maybe a RTT down the road. The modular setup from Voodoo seems to fit the bill pretty good, but what about a two bar set up like the Yakima HD bet system? It needs to either be higher like a 14" "cage" style so I can still haul large items, or else easily removable in a hurry otherwise. Any suggestions?

Just put them in the bed of the truck and go have fun. We do that with our 10 ft kayaks. Even when going camping we find away to just slide them in.

There's pro/cons for going with either a roof rack like a Prinsu vs. a low profile bed rack. I prefer transporting kayaks on the roof so it allows full use and easy access to the bed. You will also have full use of your rear view mirror along with not having kayaks hanging so far past the back for drivers behind to crash into. You can also run an RTT on a prinsu. Not sure how easy it is to get items from the bed with kayaks or an RTT in the way with your soft cover.

I used a utility trailer for years and last year finally bought the factory roof rack and Rhino racks for my camper shell.
After a few trips loading those heavy ass kayaks on top I went back to the trailer.
