Hey all, I am new to the page and a new owner of a '17 Tacoma off-road. I have been vigorously searching 5' bed racks and accessories to haul mtb/road bikes and a yakima rocket box for skis. The northeast is starting to get cold and I need to get the gear figured out. Ive started searching with ARE caps, Kb voodoo racks systems, and various tonnaeu concoctions. Looking for your creativity, either pictures of your rig or general thoughts. Thanks!

I made some bed rail brackets for an old set of Yakima rain gutter mounts I had laying around. I’m running this setup until I get a topper down the road.

It’s ugly redneck engineering, but it works for the same purposes you mentioned; bikes, lumber, Thule box, etc.

I’d prefer a 1upusa hitch mount like you have for bikes. Too spendy for me at this point in time.

C4 Fab makes a good bolt together rack that will fit almost any MTB underneath and a tent on top, or a box and skis, or whatever.

@KB Voodoo offers a lot of good stuff as well, and is always on here answering questions.

Victory 4X4 has a modular bed rack that they recently started offering. I live in the town their produced in and have seen a Tacoma driving around with it and bikes mounted on the side. It looks pretty sweet.

I have an Undercover bed cover; mounted Yakima custom rails on top; I haul skis, bikes, lumber and could fit a CVT tent or basket.
