I was thinking of getting the caliraisedled bed molle panel but I don't like that it covers the notches that would let you put some 2x4s across the bed and build a platform or carry stuff. I haven't found anything that seems as nice but with some notches cut out around that area. Anyone know of a solution short of hacksawing it?

I am also interested in any responses, do you have to drill into the bed with the bottom of caliraised molle panel?

I'm not sure. the part near the tailgate uses some of the screws around the storage box. The one near the front might require some drilling but I haven't seen how to install that part yet.

Found an install video. Looks like no need to drill the bed, but the front panel looks like it could use a lower mounting point to keep it more secure.

You could always get only the rear half of the CaliRaised molle rack. Unless you are looking to get a full system that allows for that 2x4 area.

I opted for the front molle panel instead of the sides so I could still have a platform or attach things to the side bed rails.
I think the front one is more useful than the side ones anyway. (Personal opinion)

Better than aiming it at everyone else.

I want things easily accessible from the back so the side panel works better for me. Disappointed that Caliraised didn't leave some notches. Poor planning on their part. Now you have to choose instead of having options. They really should offer a choice.

Debatable. If I had a choice between shooting out the back of my truck and maybe hitting someone who is following super close and just happens to line up perfect vs shooting my daughter in the back, I would choose someone else. But I also wouldnt put a gun in the bed.

Yeah, ideally if you're gonna be dumb it should be pointing at the driver.
