For everyone looking for t-nuts that will fit in bed rails I found the perfect ones if you do not need to slide them. The 5/8 slot fits better than the 9/16 slot but it will not slide over the screws holding up the rail. Take the screws out and place them and they are perfect for bolting down extras to the rails. I work at Fastenal and found part #s 302935-130481 or 3163960 which are both black oxide (2 different part numbers because one is a bss that other branches started using, same exact part though). I went ahead and went with stainless part # 3163758. Hope this helps some of you looking to bolt down some extras. I have a leer x2t tonneau on my truck and these fit in the oem rail underneath the leer rail because the oem cleats dont have enough clearance. With some eye bolts and make a perfect tie down point.

**EDIT** The 5/8" part numbers I supplied do slide over the bed rail bolts if you pull them towards you while sliding.

    Good stuff.

Just in case, given the prices shown on the web, Hondo Garage is fabbing ones that can be installed without sliding in the end:

Yes just one at a time to slide through. If you don’t want that the 9/16 will slide past (another user told me that) but the 5/8 sit in the rail more snug.

Thanks for the info, I ordered some of these.

What length will I need for the M8 X 1.25 bolts?

My hardware store doesn’t have shizzle for bolt/nut selection so I’m ordering these online.

It depends what you are mounting. I used them to attach a couple bicycle fork mounts to the front rail. It is maybe an 1/8in thick base?

I will go and measure them in a moment. The bolts that I had were motorcycle left overs. Ducati clutch basket bolts.

Just Dbolts, so I’m guessing 25mm or 30mm length

    Thanks

20mm long is what I used. Also, Ace has a good selection of metric as does some autoparts stores. My local O'Reilly's was much less expensive than Ace.

I just ordered and received what OP suggested from fastenal, but all of t-nuts I received are not threaded completely so the bolt won't go pass through & stops at the base of t-nut. I wish I knew that before I placed my order.

Edit: actually part number 302935-130481 is incomplete thread part as intended, but part number 3163960 is fully threaded part. I ordered 302935-130481 and they sent me 302934-130481 which is identical spec each other & those are noted as incomplete threaded under details. so if anyone wants fully threaded get 3163960.
    Thanks guys

@Zn6ft86 have Fastenal replace them for you. It must have been a factory issue. I have purchased both part numbers that I supplied for everyone and they are fully threaded.

Thank you sir! Wish I knew this when I built my bed rack . Subbed though I'm gonna get a bestop and weld together a cargo basket to block off the bed beneath the bestop for security . Good job . I had to weld up nut plates for the rack but this will be perfect for a basket.
