Found a light duty and cheap alternative for a rail anchor.

Take a u-nut and a 3/8" washer. The washer fits the bedrail inside detents perfectly and the u nut fits between the edges of the slot to prevent turning. The washer fits inside the unut's lip so it stays with the unut.

U-nut was 49 cents at Menards, and washer was cheaper yet. I needed 1/4-20 thread for my purposes of storing my roof rack on the bed rails.

It's a little small. On the bed divider, the T head is 1" across- this one is about 3/4". If you snug it up good, it'll probably work though. I bought them hoping to use them with my divider that is missing hardware. Same threads though!

This is an awesome thread - I'm actually trying to find extra pieces of track rail to mount to the underside of my tri-fold tonneau cover. I want to be able to use the rocky mount thru axel bike mounts and the bed isn't wide enough to carry the bikes sideways.

Wow ! I did not expect this topic to still be alive after almost 6 years :)

inv3ctiv3, I think you can answer a question I have. I see you have a hook on your bed wall, I need bolt something on mine and I am wondering how much space there is between the bed wall and the fender. And what kind of bolts/screws did you use for this ? Do you have nuts on the other side ?
