My understanding is that with the truck running you get 400W and with the truck off you get 100W. My question is if you are powering something with the truck off will it allow the battery to die or is there some kind of safety that still leaves you enough juice to start the car?

I don't know for sure as I don't have one.

Does your owners manual address it?

I bet it’ll die, because it dies if you leave other things like the headlights on

But yeah, keep us posted haha

I’ve left the headlights in the ON position and they shut off when the car is off

Mine won’t turn on unless the ignition is on or the truck is running. 400w parked and 100w while driving. Mine drops to 100w when the clutch is pressed. Autos probably do it when shifted out of park or into drive.

It will not kill the battery. There is a safety switch of some kind that shuts it off. At least I don't think so. I've had mine on with music playing in the truck and the truck shut everything off at about the 2 hour mark

I guess I mean if you sit in the truck with the lights on, key still turned on, it’ll die eventually.

On my old 2nd Gen I accidently left the door open all night, at some point the truck shut off the interior light and the battery was fine to start it the next day.

There's a lot of anecdotal / guessing / assumption conversation here.

Doesn't anyone have an owners manual? Doesn't it address the topic?
