Believe it or not the US wasn't always this huge nanny state and we actually had the freedom to do stupid stuff. I can remember in high school sitting on the toolbox of my buddies truck and riding around town. Stupid as hell, but nobody cared back then (except my mom, lol). Things seemed to have really started changing rapidly in the 90s.

haha, to have the seats positioned that way is apparently the safest because it is the center of gravity. I would prefer to make it like my 85 4runner but I wanted to play it safe and go with the legal option!
