He means make a 3 sided box , that basically raises the sides of the bed and attach it by way of the bed rails

OSB is Oriented Strand Board , a sheet good similar to plywood but made out of chips rather than veneers , we call it Beaver Puke here

Does anyone think those pocket holes would be sturdy enough to use a stake hole mount for a Firestik antenna? I'm mounting a 4' FS-648 NGP antenna and was considering cutting a hole in the plastic bed rail cap to access the stake hole. then would just run the coax under the truck to the rubber gasket under the passenger seat - then to the dash but blah blah. Heres what the mount looks like:

This is my question, too. Tankjockey, where did you find that mount? And do they make one with NMO threads? I'm not allowed to drill holes in the hullmetal, but … nobody said anything about cutting the bedliner! XD

Anybody think you could effectively use a no-ground-plane antenna to those locations? NMO mounts, perhaps? Now I’m thinking less of fancy clamp-on things, and more just drilling for a bog-standard NMO cable. Hoooray for being indecisive!

Thanks for this!! I have been trying to figure this out this for almost three years since I got the truck, so I could remove them and touch up some paint issues at outside edges of the rails where a topper or bed cover previously caused wear. I can see them if I lift the a little at the rear edges front and back on each side; a rust line where they rubbed through the paint.
