    I had a dual spot (a little over 300 lbs) with the tail gate down in my 2nd gen and had the handle bars tied to a corner reinforcement that went from the along the front like the image below. Do you think it would be a good idea to get the rear reinforcement if I end up doing this with the new truck and a ~450lbs bike? I have a haven't had to haul it anywhere yet and the trailer I have is around 20ft and it feels like overkill if I were to use it.

    Totally up to you on getting rear reinforcements but that front section looks sturdy enough.

    I have a Harbor Freight collapsible trailer which I use to trailer my 500lb GS750...no overkill and lower to the ground.
