When I was looking to buy it seemed they all had them, of course when I go to get brands to reply theyve all dissapeared lol

It can be mounted horizontal or vertical depending on clearance needs or even deleted (the two bolts would have to remain) if desired.

I made my own low profile stiffeners. Might not be as effective but still adds some rigidity. I think I made it with 3/16 flat stock and the triangles are 1/4 inch

Whatever brand you choose, I would get ones that go all the way up the bedside, not just halfway. The weakest part of the bed is the top, because that’s where the most leverage can be applied, so I never understood the point of halfway supporting it.

I have the total chaos personally. The fit is perfect and they look cool as hell.

I feel like it depends on use though. If you’re running a bed rack or something heavy it would be better to have it supported the whole way up. If you have no weight on the bed rails and you just get em to prevent flexing bed rails offroad I would think the corner is most important to support.

Very true. I have a bed rail system, tent, and gear mounted to the bed rails of mine so I preferred it.. if I didn’t have any of that I don’t even think I would have stiffeners personally.

The 4 Wheel Parts stiffener is interesting, not too sure of how it works but it’s a clean look.

I didn’t even know they made one like that. Looks like it bolts under the bed and behind the bedside very interesting. I was being cheap when I made mine. Not sure why that stiffener needs a bottle opener though

Go to 4Wheel Parts and look at their install instructions. Very clean pics to see how it works. I think it is a great idea for those who need to keep the full width of their bed available for carrying loads that take up the entire width of the bed (drywall, plywood etc.).

I know there will be critics... Buts it's been a year and a half on Forest Road and trail. Life is good. I scored a color match canopy for $500. Went back and forth on an RTT. Had a bit of concern on the static weight of the tent. In turn. I feel it's doing a great job keeping the bed disciplined as well for riding I do.

Sorry guys for the duplicates. It's this tablet... Frustrates me.

Nice design, looks clean. Maybe you have a product worth selling there and the bike rack is a nice touch.

oh the things i could build with a plasma table...

very similar design to the total chaos one's. i like yours just as much for the similar tiedown points. i could do without the 'grit-catchers'-- the lettered flair though.
